March Break - I have even heard it being called 'Midwinter Break' - is finally here and even though for us it is a 'staycation' we are lucky because we have very welcome guests with us. So what do you do with guests - you try to show them how nice Kingston is and you... Continue Reading →
I am thankful for spending a gorgeous day out in the sugar bush, helping to collect maple sap and watching how it is boiled down into maple syrup in the sugar shack. It takes a lot of work - 40 l of sap only make one liter of maple syrup! Sugar maple trees get tapped... Continue Reading →
Well, at least for today. There's more snow in the forecast. But in the meantime, what a wonderful morning spent on Lake Ontario. This was taken on January 19, 2018. City Hall has recently been lit up to mark certain special events. I am not sure if this is technically a good photo but I think it looks pretty spectacular.
So I've been happily writing for a few days on my new blog now. And somehow it doesn't seem too hard to crank out a few lines here and there. But really and honestly - I want this site to be about my pictures. I love the idea of mindfulness in and through photography, but... Continue Reading →
